The human body is a complex biological structure that is made up of cells, tissue, organs and systems. All the things that make up the human body work together to maintain homeostasis. Some of the important organs in the human body are the heart, lungs, brain and liver. Without them, your body wouldn’t be able to survive. However, there are some organs that you can live without, like the gallbladder, spleen, appendix and kidneys, you have two kidneys, but you can live with just one. All these organs belong to one or more of the systems in the human body.

The organs, tissues and cells in your body make up several different systems. For example, the circulatory system involves the heart, blood vessels and blood. The circulatory system helps move blood throughout your body. The digestive system involves the stomach, small intestines, large intestines and several other organs. The digestive system takes food you’ve swallowed, breaks it down, and absorbs nutrients from it. The immune system is the army that guards your body from foreign pathogens. It fights off viruses, bacteria, fungi and other invaders that would harm your body.

The human body is a marvelous achievement of evolution. You can do things that no other known lifeform, living or extinct, can do. Regardless of how complex or amazing the human body is, you need to treat it right. Regular exercise, a healthy diet, limited alcohol intake and avoiding recreational drugs will keep your body in tip top shape.
