Welcome to our engineering facts library. This is a huge collection of facts on many different structures and buildings. This is a nice resource for students and teachers. It's also good for adults who want to learn about famous buildings and structures. We hope you find these facts fun, pleasant and useful at learning about engineering. Scroll down and pick a section to explore that building or structure.
Our engineering facts library has a lot of sections. Each section is about a specific building or structure. We have a section about Machu Picchu, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and many more. Can't find the facts you need? Check back next week, we're always adding new sections. You can contact us with a request, and we'll add it to a future update.
Below are the engineering fact sections, in order from A to Z.
Humans have been building structures since before prerecorded history. In the modern times, humans build some amazing structures. An example of a modern structure that rivals all previous structures is the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Burj Khalifa skyscraper is the tallest building in the world. An example of an ancient structure that rivals even modern structures is the Great Pyramid of Giza. Ancient Egyptians built the Great Pyramid of Giza in less than 20 years. Remember, this was during a time when there were no construction machines. Regardless of the era, humans build some amazing structures and will continue to do so in the future.
